Tree Lighting at the Community Center

We live in a neighborhood with an awesome Community Center! We do pay for it, but it is run by the YMCA and they put on some really fun events! The Tree Lighting was a great way to begin Christmas with little kids. The event was about 3 hours long packed full of time with Santa, ornament making, snacks, paper crafts, singing and an amazing tree lighting.
Santa was amazing himself! He told interactive stories, had all the kids singing with bells, brought older kids up in front of the group and had the kids imaginations going! Lucy was excited about Santa, but Noah was very scared. Noah warmed up to Santa after sitting with the group of kids for about 45 minutes listening and interacting with Santa. When it was time to sit with Santa Noah was still hesitant, so Santa got out some bubbles and started playing with the Noah, Lucy, Audrey, and Aaron. It was amazing! I was so excited! Because of such an awesome Santa Noah now wants to see Santa more!

There are a lot of trees around our community center and a couple really big trees. They had the kids sing and lit up all the trees at once and it was beautiful!

This picture does not really do it justice!
