Good Bye Sporty Jeep, Hello Van!

Yep, we traded in the Jeep for a van. I truly did not want to say goodbye! I really liked my Jeep and planned to drive it for a very long time. It was clear to me that we could really use a larger vehicle for family car trips. We planned to purchase a used van but, we decided it was worth it to buy new. It is loaded with many cool options to included a dvd player with 3 monitors and back up camera and sensors for me. A must to keep me from backing over something with this huge bus of a van! :)

We purchased a Chrysler town and country from Joel's uncle in Fergus Falls, MN.

Noah with his Great Aunt Laurel (she certainly does not look like a great aunt).

While we made our van purchase Joel's parents, sister, and brother-in-law took care of Lucy (thank you so much!). Then, we had dinner with the family.

Joel drove home that night and hit a raccoon. Can you believe it? The same day we buy it we hit an animal. This turned out to be $900 damage and a $100 deductible. The deductible was lower because Joel did not swerve to miss the animal....it was not safe to do so. If you swerve and hit an animal the deductible is higher. Keep that in mind in the future.
