We didn't stay up too late on New Year's Eve because we had planned to get up early and drive to the Royal Gorge (about 1.5 hours away).
The weather was perfect in the 50's with little wind so, we could walk across rather than drive.
On the other side we enjoyed more beautiful views, buffalo (check out the white one), elk and big horn sheep.
I'm not the best with heights so when it came to walking across I tried to keep my head up and not think about how far up we were.
We finished the day with a couple carousel rides.
