Noah's Surgery

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for your prayers. Noah is doing well. He took the anesthesia quickly while in Daddy's arms and the surgery took about 45 minutes. I was timing it, holding his monkey, reading to Lucy, and waiting for it to be over. The doctor told us that his adenoids were very large (a 3 out of 4) and he did well. The nurse brought us back to him and he was crying in a way I had never heard before. I tried to comfort him and Joel tried. He went back and forth between us until he fell asleep in Joel's arms. They let us take him home an hour later.
When we got home he ate and took a 4 hour nap. That evening we already noticed that he could say no rather than naa. We could also just tell he could hear better even though he was a little fussy.
On Thursday and today he is still taking longer naps and a little fussy but, trying to be in good spirits. He had an allergic reaction to the amoxicilllin so, we had to take him off that and give him Benadryl to get rid of the welts on his little body. We still feel that he can hear us better and attempting to talk more. Not that he wasn't talking well already but, even more.
Lucy has been very sensitive to Noah and giving him whatever he wants. She has also been playing doctor and practicing surgery but, not on Noah!
I am so thankful to have the surgery over and to see Noah improving. God is so good!

What an answer to prayer. So glad things went well and that you can already tell the difference.
