After putting Noah down to bed, I went in to tuck Lucy in for our normal routine. She likes to have a book, song, and sometimes her back rubbed. Tonight she wanted me to sing "You Are My Sunshine." Here is how it went:
Me: "you are my"
Lucy: "sunshine. My only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know dear how much I love you. Please don't take my Sunshine away."
She was so incredible proud of herself for finishing the rest of the song. It is so fun to hear her singing!

You will have to tell Lucy that her daddy had that song sung to him many times after having had a book read to him and he was being rocked before bed. Precious memories. Grandma
What a sweet story. This is a favorite song in our house as well. How sweet to hear those little singing voices!
