We hope you had a great 4th of July like us! We spent it with Joel's family on Pelican Lake. His Uncle Brent and Aunt Laurel host the event every year at their lake cabin. This year we did not get burnt or sprayed from fireworks, but the show was amazing. Noah fell asleep in Daddy's arms on the pontoon ride, Lucy got to experience sparklers, Mommy got to play a couple competitive games of volleyball and Daddy went fresh water scuba diving!

I love this sweet picture of Noah! This summer he is really into wearing hats and sun glasses. He really loves wearing Lucy's pink sunglasses so we refer to him as Elton John! I think he likes the pink ones because the lenses are not so dark.
We let the kids stay up for the fireworks. We finally headed back at 12am and had the kids in bed by 1am. It took them off schedule a little bit but they adjusted quickly. We figure these are the things that build memories!
